Six Great TV Moments
In the world of television, there have been some really
fantastic scenes that really grab you and pull you in. Certain
events just take you over the top and turn into instant
classics. Whether you have satelite
tv, DirecTV, or cable, you're sure to recall some of
these great points in television history, from SNL skits
to popular I
Love Lucy episodes.
6. The Sarah Palin Skit
Tina Fey made her reappearance on Saturday
Night Live something
to be remembered in what is commonly thought to be one of the
best SNL skits
ever. At the height of Sarah Palin's popularity, Fey came in and
blasted her with a spot-on impression. The skit was so popular
that it even prompted Sarah Palin herself to make an appearance
on the show later on in the season.
5. The Britney/Madonna kiss
Regarded as one of the most infamous award show moments, the
Britney and Madonna kiss during the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards
is still talked about today. It was such an incredibly shocking
moment that most people don't even recall Madonna also kissing
Christina Aguilera mere moments afterwards.
4. Jim and Pam
Jim and Pam are probably one of the most perfect couples to have
ever graced the small screen. The two were often victims of
being single/taken at the wrong times, forcing their budding
feelings to go into hiding for three full seasons. This couple
spawned some of the funniest moments in The
Office, and also some of the most touching. Most notably
was Pam's line "When you're a kid, you assume your parents are
soul mates. My kids are going to be right about that."
3. The Return of Doctor
Who
Considered to be one of the greatest science fiction shows of
all time, it was originally canceled in 1989. However, the
series recently got a reboot in 2005 and has garnered an
insanely large following because of it.
2. "We Were on a Break!"
There are very few television lovers who won't understand what
you mean when you shout out, "We were on a break!" at the top of
your lungs. The infamous Friends line
that ended Ross and Rachel's relationship went on to become the
longest running joke in the show, even making it into the series
finale.
1. I
Love Lucy, "Job Switching"
Though I
Love Lucy itself
is a classic show, there seems to be one scene that seems to
stick out in everyone's memory, and that would be the candy
factory scene. The hilarity that came from the conveyer belt
gradually forcing Lucy and Ethel to go crazy was such an instant
hit, that many sitcoms still recycle the plot to this day.
